Amsterdam-based producer Melle Jutte returns to VIAVIA Records with Cerrado / Undercurrent, following last year’s Low Tides mini-album on 12”.
Where Low Tides moved freely between downtempo, soulful songwriting and club music, these two tracks zoom in on the dancefloor. Warm, organic and deeply grooving, they bring together intricate percussion, subtle jazz-infused details and hypnotic movement.
It’s a side of house music that feels distinctly Melle: playful and musical, with plenty happening beneath the surface. Cerrado / Undercurrent continues to shape his own space between soulful musicianship and club-focused electronics.
